Professional Standards
LIFE-FORCE is an Organisational Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and our Counselling Service is accredited by BACP. The LIFE-FORCE Organisation abides by the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Working to excellent clinical standards is of prime importance to LIFE-FORCE. As such our policies and procedures have been carefully developed for the purpose of achieving this aim. All our Team Counsellors and Students on Placement are fully informed of these requirements, the implementation of which is the foundation of the Organisation being able to maintain excellent professional standards.
One important way that we monitor the Service is to find out from our clients how their experience has been. All clients are asked to complete a Client Evaluation Form at the end of their therapy. Currently 10% clients return these to the office; however we would appreciate an increase in this proportion. At our last Annual Report our Counselling Service recorded that overall 97% of our clients would recommend the service to others. However, we are still striving to improve and develop what LIFE-FORCE can offer to anyone wishing to use our therapy services.
As an Organisation we aim to provide the highest quality of service and therefore take all complaints seriously. If a client feels unhappy with any aspect of our Counselling Service then they are encouraged in the first instance to raise their concerns with their counsellor. If the client remains concerned then they can make a formal complaint by following the LIFE-FORCE Complaint Procedure which can be found in the Client Information Folder in the Rainbow Room at the Centre.
